For your Monday pleasure. Information to enjoy throughout your week.

  1. Was Nietzche Woke?: Always interesting discussions. Philosophy Tube is one of those channels with information-dense, slightly arty essays. The style is like catnip to me.

  2. Creating a Diff Tool in Chat GPT: This was a cool little post. I like to see practical outputs of code generation, especially one that aims for truth-seeking good.

  3. Manitou Old Growth Cedars: One of my favorite areas of the state. The idea of never-logged giants (relatively speaking) in the Eastern United States is an alluring one.

  4. Beginner’s Guide to Asian Condiments: This was a surprise, but a pleasant one. A good sweet spot of entertaining and informative, and with a dash of filmmaking sense to it.

  5. Heartland Bank Crypto Scam: This was a humbling read. I just know that, in the right circumstance, I’d be susceptible to the same kind of failing. Process, checks and balances, and checking your biases. All necessary.

  6. Baguette Recipe: This was one element in a totally over-the-top effort to make the best French Dip sandwiches I could. They were pretty great, though.

  7. St. Josaphat of India: This won’t be the first time I’ve been “a sucker for” something in this list, but stories finding a new home far outside their original context? Yes please.

  8. Clockwise Before Clockwise: Again for a writing project, but it started me down a very real rabbit hole. Most every culture has needed a way to talk about this.

  9. Lahmacun Recipe: The use of a pasta roller and yeast-free dough was a revelation here. It’s still something probably better made at a shop, but that’s not always an option, and the pizza oven made it nice and crackly.

  10. British Library Ransomware: I heard Cory Doctorow mention this on a podcast as one of the best, most important tech documents of the last year. I appreciated the openness of it.
